Audio Task
What Does The Music Tell You?
In this clip the music set the mood for the audience. It is a very fast paced but a disaster type of music which suggests that there is some sort of dangerous panic happening and that it is happening quick.
What Sound Effects Are Used?
The sound effects used in this 2 minute clip are; cars crashing, water crashing, an alien spaceship and screams from people down below. These are put in to then create the effect of perspective of where the audience is 'viewing' it from.
How Do These Aspects Combine To Make A Soundscape?
These aspects definitely combine to make a soundscape and they do this because of how the sound effects tell the audience where they are and the music used can show the audience what sort of feeling to have towards the whole situation.
Is It Dramatic Or Calm?
The whole situation is very dramatic but i think it has some calm parts. For example during the very start when they are building up, in order too show the contrast they start off with a calm bit of music and build into pure chaos and dramatic music. Overall, for the most part it is dramatic but they use calm at the start too really show off the contrast which strengthens the drama later on in the drama.
Is It Happy Or Sad?
All of this clip is sad, this is done as it is meant to strike fear in the audiences heart. When the human race is being attacked they present it as a chaotic moment mainly however, some parts are made sad because of the screams. The screams put people being attacked to people with human feelings being attacked. Because of the fact that people are screaming the audience can notice it is actually people and therefore they will pull more emotions from the audience which in turn makes it more sad.
What Genre Of Film Do You Think It Is From?
From the audio clip that i listened to i think the film of this clip is a Sci-Fi because it's about aliens invading. The audio is also similar to most Sci-Fi films and it fits into the genre of being mysterious and has a sense of unknowingnous.

My Foley Sounds
Codes and Conventions
- Words
This creates the feeling of sadness and sincerity.
At 2:30 he says "I wonder if you were dreaming about me"
- Voices
This is done because there is no eye contact with the camera.
Throughout the whole radio drama the voices are soft
- Speech
This is done because the speech can present emotions
At the 4 minute mark the speech softens and gets into a needy voice but then he stutters, it shows he is desperate
- Background music and ambient sound
Throughout the whole of this there is very little ambient sound as they want you to focus on the words that are being spoken.
- Sound effects
- Silence:
At 1:30 Lanto uses silence to comfort himself and just think rather thantalk

"The more competitors your station has, the more specialized your programming should be. For example, Jakarta, with more than 50 stations on the FM band, has some very specialized stations. One of them specializes in Padang music. Its target audience is people who come from Padang, in Sumatra. As there are plenty of Padang restaurants in Jakarta, and people from Padang are reputed to be very successful in business, the station can also attract a lot of Padang advertisers. But in a few decades, as the Padang immigrants and their children become absorbed in the culture of Jakarta, that station is likely to have an aging and diminishing audience."

From the information on the website (as seen above), i have concluded that most radio stations that you will listen too will be more specialised than you think. Even different times will change what they feature on the station. During school times all radio stations will aim there information and entertainment at people who work at home as at that point in time they would be the only ones listening. However when it reaches 9:00 UK TV and radio passes the watershed and then they put on shows that have more adult language in. and like the other two between when school finishes and before 9:00 it will be aimed at younger people. This is when our show would be played.
